Terms of sale
Last updated: 19 August 2026.
Draft — not yet in force
Card payments are not switched on. These terms are published early so they can be reviewed before anything is sold, and they have not been checked by anyone qualified.
1. Who you are buying from
POOR MAN SUPER CAR LTD, registered in England & Wales, company number 16197667. Registered office: 47 Diligent Drive, Sittingbourne, England, ME10 2LQ. Contact: contact@poormansupercar.com.
These terms cover buying a sticker. Using the site is covered separately by the terms of use, and how we handle your data by the privacy policy.
2. What you are buying
A printed vinyl sticker carrying a unique code, and the redirect that makes the code resolve to a page you control. The code is issued to you when you order and is never reissued to anyone else.
The sticker is only useful while the service behind it runs. That is unusual for a physical product and we would rather say it than let you discover it. Section 8 sets out what happens if the service ends.
3. Price and payment
The price shown at checkout is what you pay, including postage of £2.95 to UK addresses. The price is fixed at the moment you order; a later change never alters an order already placed.
[TO CONFIRM — VAT.] Whether the company is VAT registered decides whether prices are shown inclusive of VAT and whether a VAT receipt is issued. This must be settled before the first sale, and the prices on the site changed if VAT has to be added to them.
Payment is taken by Stripe. Your card details are entered on Stripe’s own page and never reach us.
4. Delivery
UK addresses only at present. [TO CONFIRM — dispatch and delivery times.] Consumer law requires delivery without undue delay and within 30 days unless agreed otherwise, so whatever is promised here has to be one you can keep at your slowest.
5. Cancelling
For most things bought at a distance you have 14 days to change your mind, and a further 14 days to return them.
[TO CONFIRM — the important one.] That right does not apply to goods made to a consumer’s specification or clearly personalised. A sticker printed with a code issued to you arguably falls in that category, and a caption you chose more clearly does. We are not going to rely on that without advice, because getting it wrong means refusing refunds we owe.
Until that is settled, we will honour the full 14-day right on every order. If you change your mind, email us within 14 days of receiving the sticker and we will refund it. That is the safe answer for both of us while the question is open.
Cancelling an order cancels the code with it. The page stays yours.
6. If something is wrong with it
Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected by anything here. Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If a sticker arrives faulty, misprinted, or will not scan, tell us and we will replace it or refund it — you do not need to have kept the packaging, and you do not lose the right because time has passed.
A sticker that stops scanning because it has been painted over, polished off, or is under a damaged screen is not a fault. Section 8 of the site terms explains why placement matters more than anything we print.
7. Your code
The code stays yours while your account is open. You can point it at a different page, or at a different car, whenever you like — that is the whole point of it. We may deactivate a code if it is reported, if it is used to point at something unlawful, or if there is an unresolved dispute about who owns the vehicle. A deactivated code shows a status page rather than failing.
8. If the service ends
We would rather commit to something honest than promise permanence we cannot underwrite. If we ever stop running DRIVE LOOKUP:
- we will tell everyone with an active code, by email, before it stops;
- you will be able to export your pages and photographs; and
- [TO CONFIRM] — decide now whether stickers bought within some period before the shutdown are refunded, and say so here. A customer who buys in month eleven of twelve deserves an answer that was written before it happened.
9. Complaints and law
Email us first — contact@poormansupercar.com. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK you may bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Before the first sale
- Settle the VAT position (section 3) and change the prices if VAT must be added.
- Get advice on the personalised-goods exemption (section 5). Until then the 14-day right is honoured in full, which is the safe default and the one currently written.
- Commit to dispatch and delivery times you can meet at your slowest (section 4).
- Decide the shutdown refund position (section 8).
- Check the company’s insurance covers selling goods to consumers.
- Have all of this reviewed by someone qualified.
